Launch Scale 2014

LAUNCH SCALE is a conference featuring the technology and technologists who are building the fastest growing companies in the world. This interesting event wrapped up in the end of October in San Francisco, California. LAUNCH was created by Jason Calacanis, an American entrepreneur and blogger. He invests millions of dollars in the most promising startups every year.

LAUNCH SCALE helps over 700 attendants to learn a ton about how to run their business. Over 50 founders and directors, from companies such as Zillow, Thumbtack, Smule, Next-door, Square, Reddit & Chipmunk, Yelp, Pinterest, Greenhouse, Paypal, Jawbone, Dell or Eventbrite, were invited to speak at Mission Bay Conference Center. They answered questions like: How do I create a brand voice for my startup? What do I do when a customer is unhappy? How do I recruit senior designers and developers with limited funding? How do I price my product for maximum growth? How do I increase my rank in the app store? How do I avoid liability and lawsuits? How much should user feedback change my product? How do I make an awesome product video? How do I get good Yelp reviews for my startup? How do I expand internationally? How do I get a celebrity to talk about my product on YouTube? How can I reduce the number of 1 star reviews for my app?

It was my first conference ever and I loved the idea of sharing the professional experience how to grow the successful business. The startup atmosphere was really casual and people were friendly and funny, especially while singing karaoke during a keynote speech. I am happy I got the opportunity to learn more about the technology industry and meet very interesting/important people.

LAUNCH FESTIVAL is another interesting event happening March 2-4, 2015 at Fort Mason Center, San Francisco. Forty companies will launch for the first time and they are gonna compete for titles such as best design or best technology. Over 8000 attendees makes this conference the biggest startup/technology event in the world.
